Privacy Policy September 2010 (Revised)

Introduction

This policy covers how OPCA treats personal information that OPCA collects and receives, including information related to your past use of OPCA products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of individuals, companies and organizations that OPCA does not own, control, or to people that OPCA does not employ or manage.

Residents Static IP Address:

Residents Static IP information will not be given out to any third party which is not contracted by Oleander Pointe to supply or manage our Internet Services or equipment, without the resident first requesting the information be released to that third party. Currently this includes only AT&T and CMIT.

Residents Web Page Accounts and Passwords:

Passwords are considered private and it is never the intention of OPCA to divulge or know a users’s password unless requested by users. OPCA users have the option to change their passwords through secure web interfaces. Passwords are saved on servers in an encrypted manner such that if users do not know their password, the administrator can reset the password as requested but cannot retrieve passwords from the authentication software. Note that when accounts are initially created an initial password is entered by the administrator and it is up to the user to change the password through the website if so desired.

Information given out publicly:

Some of our web sites and publications provide public information to the benefit of the public. This information comes from other public, private sources, or it is directly submitted by participants. An example of public information about OPCA would be listings of amenities and links of community websites. It is never our intention to have private information made public without the consent of the entity the information is about.

Information private for residents:

Some of our web sites and publications provide private information to the benefit of the OPCA authorized users. This information comes from private sources, or it is directly submitted by participants. An example of private information about OPCA would be contact information for residents and OPCA archived documents. It is never our intention to have private information made public without the consent of the entity the information is about.

Disclosure of information collected to outside third parties:

OPCA Internet System will disclose personal information and/or an IP address, ONLY WHEN REQUIRED OR PERMITTED BY LAW to:
1) Cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities and conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on OPCA.
2) Protect and defend the rights or property of the OPCA’s network of sites and related properties, or visitors to the OPCA’s Network of sites and related properties.
3) Fulfill a user’s order or request.

You’re Consent to This Agreement:

By using the OPCA Internet Services, you consent to the collection and use of information by OPCA as specified above. If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes appropriately so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Information provided is not all inclusive and may be updated at any time. Official documents should be requested in writing.
